How the tested ability (eg, theory of mind, memory) can be found in the actions and choices of young children in a playful, structured, experimental situation?

During the behavioral studies the children participate in a playful, structured situation, and we make inference about their abilities from their behavior and choices. T do this, we record these situations to analyze them later according to given aspsects.
